Rapid Biological Inventories: Image Gallery: Perú 11

11 - Perú: Yavarí

The Yavarí floodplain is a rich mosaic of flooded forest and swamps. Tree communities of the proposed reserve (dotted white line) are among the most diverse on the planet. In this composite satellite image of 1999/2001 we highlight the Reserva Comunal Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo (dotted grey line) along with the rivers and towns close to the rapid inventory sites.
